Being the show-opener comes with its perils and ploys but Misha hit bull’s eye at slaying audience by parading a collection that bawled elegant craftsmanship and contemporary panache laced with traditional edge. Her runway familiarized Karachiites to a cosmic episode that comprised delicately sheer sarees, an assortment of pants, opulent hand-woven silk pieces and colours that bewitched onlookers – and those cholis – oh-those-cholis – were to die for!
Misha Lakhani’s couture and ready-to-wear range consisted of finely embroidered ensembles that stunned the audience. The collection was mainly inspired by Persian, Central Asian and Indian designs, created using hand-woven silks and intricate needle craft embroidery. Using subtle floral work and a combination of colours varying from bold maroons to delicate whites, her collection did not fail to impress.
